Who is the Anaconda Enterprise Trial intended for?

who are comfortable using the command line and a virtual machine.

What's included in the Anaconda Enterprise Trial VM?
----------------------------------------------------

The Anaconda Enterprise Trial includes enterprise-ready:

* notebook collaboration for data science teams
* package repository for reproducing data science solutions
* visualization server for creating and deploying interactive intelligent web
  apps
* high speed data connectors for leveraging data from multiple sources
* Python compiler to get comparable performance to C/C++, and
* multi-core execution to scale up performance.

What are the differences between this free trial version and the full paid product?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* The trial is limited to 60 days.
* Trial is pre-populated with demonstration users, projects, packages, and
  content.
* Six demo accounts included. Up to 8 additional user accounts can be added to
  trial. Full product can support any number of accounts purchased.
* 200 (2GB) cross-platform analytics packages for 64-bit Windows, OS X and
  Linux.  Both trial and full products can download additional packages.
* Configured for HTTP only, not HTTPS.
* No LDAP or Single-Sign-On.
* Trial is single computer vs. use over a network.
* No indemnification in trial version. 
* Free community support instead of full Priority I support.

Will I be able to run the VM and attach it to a network?
--------------------------------------------------------

The trial can be run on a single machine. The full version is intended for use
over a network.

How many users does the trial support?
--------------------------------------

Eight user accounts may be added to the Anaconda Enterprise Notebook Server.
This is in addition to the six demo users included in Anaconda Enterprise
Notebook Server and in the Anaconda repository.

What happens after I fill out the form?
---------------------------------------

You will receive an email with your trial license and install information.

How big is the file download?
-----------------------------

The download is 6 GB and can take an hour or longer, depending on the speed of
your connection. A wired connection is recommended.

What are the system requirements?
---------------------------------

* OS for single-user trial: OS X or Linux, CentOS or RedHat recommended.
  Optional multi-user trial: Windows, OS X or Linux.
* Memory: Minimum RAM 4GB, 8 GB recommended.
* Storage for single-user trial: 30GB. Optional multi-user trial: 32 GB + 1 GB
  per concurrent user

I don't want to install the VM in my Downloads folder. What can I do?
---------------------------------------------------------------------

You can install the VM in any folder and path that do not contain spaces or
special characters. The home directory of Windows users often contains a space
between the first and last name. The Vagrant Windows installer does not run
correctly if folders contain spaces.
